Yeah even though there's not as much time devoted to the new status quo towards the end of the show as the original one, I also felt like there were a lot of really great episodes later on to the point where I didn't particularly feel like there was any real dip in quality. The only thing that really stood out to me a bit was how much they scaled backed the two-parters compared to how many they had at the beginning, since when I first started watching it felt like there was one practically every other episode!

Not that that was a bad thing of course, it was just noticeable when they frontloaded so many of them initially.

^ That is true. Return of Ultraman had four different two-parters and three of them were within the first 17 episodes. UltraSeven's three two-parters were much more spread out. Ultraman only had the Gomora two-parter.
