AWESOME! I picked up the first volume of the Speedy dvd release a couple of months back, and really liked it! Now I can just watch it on Crunchyroll! How much longer before they get into the Heisei era Ultras? :D

Knowing that terrible contract with Chaiyo? Very likely next unless they somehow decided they wanted to sub Jonias (which would be awesome because it is one of the best anime of all time).

Another Ultraman show that starts with a great premise, an Ultraman as a teacher who helps children everyday, that is dropped around 20 episodes in. Unlike Ultraman Leo though, there's some really solid effects and story-telling afterwards. There's something about the early 80s video sheen that really does it for me, lots of grey, the show feels more urban than any Showa series because of it for whatever reason.

Honestly, this maybe the most consistent Ultraman show from start to finish (I wonder if Noriaki Yuasa's involvement as showrunner had anything to do with this). I remember really liking the last episode, and look forward to watching these again. Hopefully, this thread can garner as much excitement as the next Godzilla film.

SWEET! I still have a long way to go with Leo, but I love the attention Crunchyroll is giving Tsuburaya. I hope we can see some Ultra Q or non-ultra shows in the future too.

Ugh, can somebody give me a few highlight episodes of all these shows that I can sample?

It'd help if Crunchyroll had episode descriptions or I could find some thorough episode guides.

God forbid you just watch the first few episodes and form an opinion on them.

When it was just two series, sure. But under this deluge?

Simple solution: Download ALL eipsodes of ALL the Ultra sereis then watch at your leisure!

BTW... it's GREAT news that 80 has joined the stable. Wish they'd release either legit subbed or dubbed complete Ultras here in the US, but... alas... :x
