Nighttime toku: Yokai Ningen BEM (2011)

This was totally off my radar but have started watching it. Just from snippets on youtube I didn't have much hope for it. But once I started watching full episodes I've been really impressed. It's 10 episodes, 45 min each except for the premiere ep which is about 60 min. The framing, cinematography and pacing has a more filmic feel to it that I was expecting.

Yokai Ningen Bemu was an anime from the 60s which got rebooted in 2006 (it can be seen dubbed on )and then last year filmed as a live action tokusatsu. There's more in depth info .
