Why no love for the Showa Era Baltans?

They're an advanced alien race of space ninjas with the ability to change size at will, fly, and create numerous illusions of themselves. I mean, of all the things to question in science fiction, "how does fly ship?" strikes me as one of the more unusual.

Sometimes, I think Tsuburaya is just biding time until the perfect ultimate opportunity to bring them back comes. Maybe if we had a new series. Another part of me, deep down, wonders if, of all the things to be strict about, they're holding tightly to the idea from their very first appearance that their species was doomed. That there simply aren't any Baltans left! Everything that's followed Max has been in the original continuity, after all.

Surely those Baltans have gotten busy over the years and repopulated a bit.

I agree that it's dumb, but the most recent perfect opportunity for a cameo, Mega Monster Battle NEO, taking place in the future and filled with every other classic notable alien race, didn't even have one hint of Baltan. As iconic as Baltan is, to ignore him so regularly is suspicious.
