Giant Robot 2007 (anime) info?

Anybody have links for some info and decent pics of the recent Giant Robot anime that came out a couple of years ago?? I realize that I'm slow on the draw here, but I just stumbled across some clips of it over on YouTube. First I had even heard of the project.

From what little I have been able to gather in English, the concept is much different from either the '68 live action show and the 90's anime reboot, but at least the production designers have done a better job capturing the spirit of the classic look of Giant Robot. Much more so than the bulbous 90's anime version. This new(er) design looks like it could actually be ported into a working live action version without too much tweaking - were they so inclined.

Any info would be much appreciated.

I was hoping to find some big HQ snaps of the various characters online somewhere which I could incorporate into desktop wallpapers and such, but so far only the one small pic of the redesigned GR is all I can find. Ah well...

Looks like the series must not have been the mega-hit they were hoping for and it got canned fairly quickly.
