For all the discussion about the various Ultraman series I have often wondered which Ultraman is considered the best at
hand-to-hand fighting by the fans? Which Ultraman do you think is the best at close-in combat(no rays or beams-just physical fighting)? I haven't seen all the silver giants in action but so far the best I've seen is the original(1966) Ultraman, who employed a variety of throws and chops in order to set up his opponent for a kill shot from one of his beam weapons. Feel free to talk about any moves you like. All replies welcome.

the best fighter was Ultraman 80- well, he did the coolest martial arts moves, anyway. Ultraman Ace and Taro were considered some of the most powerful with various rays and beams, and Zoffy defeated a monster army alone at one point.
Andre DuBois knows more about this sort of lore though!
