Just to shed more light on the Gridman questions for those unfamiliar with the show, the show was actually brought to the USA before. Unfortunately, like Power Rangers, only the fight scenes were used, and all of the original story, cast, characters, and music were truncated in favor of editing in American actors with a new story and music. The result was "Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad" which might be familiar to some of you that are old enough to remember. Anyways, back to the uncut Tiga DVDs. YAY!! :D

Yeah, SSSS is probably why I automatically liked Ultraman. I loved that show, it was SO much better than PR. (Which I hated, and still do)

Something else I forgot to mention about Funimation's release. This isn't based on any concrete knowledge but rather speculation based on Funimation's other subtitled releases. If Funimation is indeed in charge of the disc production, translation, and subtitling you can probably expect to see the usage of Japanese honorifics used in the subtitles such as Daigo-san, Daigo-kun, or Munakata-san, Rena-chan, etc. Funimation has done this with a number of their anime releases such as "Dragonball", "Yu Yu Hakusho", and "Lupin the 3rd".
