I'm so pumped for this! I was really let down a couple months ago when it seemed like there wouldn't be any interesting special features. Thank God for Peter Jackson!

One of my favorite films of all time, finally on DVD! :D

Kong would have been on DVD eventually, PJ or no PJ. there would have been extra features on it without PJ as well. that's like thanking Kevin Costner for making his idiotic Robin Hood when we get Errol Flynn's excellent movie full of extras (had it been made this year). i'm happier because of PJ's remake we get the Kong cartoon on DVD, which probably wouldn't happen if PJ hadn't HAD to re-make this excellent movie.

David (who's now heard it's stop-motion in the spider pit, so who knows now)

it's just great. i haven't even watched the movie yet (since i've seen it so often) but spent over 3 hours watching the extras on the second disc. usually i think those are unneccessary fluff added to justify making a $2 disc sell for over $20, but this one is well worth it. i will get the CASABLANCA one as well.

^ The funny thing about that is,usually I'm all for enviromentally friendly ideas, but I hate those cases. Why? You don't need a recycleable case for media discs! You don't throw the package away, you watch the movie, hear the songs,or play the game, then you put it back in the case to store it. In a way, you're "recycling" the case. But we still get stuck with these crappy cases, while meanwhile, other products (McFarlane action figures and game controllers off the top of my head-Wow,I'm really nerdy!) come in impossible-to-remove hard plastic vaults, and when you're done wrestling with the package, you DO throw it away. That's completely backwards.
