Wow, this is the first I'd heard of this. What a shame. And it is also a shame (or possibly a blessing, who knows) that she never saw the new King Kong. The original script had a part that seemed to be written as a cameo for her. Was this dropped, or will it be now, or was it written out before? (He asked rhetorically.)

I'll bet anything it'll be dedicated to her now.

I was so lucky to see her on her 93rd birthday here in 2000 at the Dryden Theatre. She really was pretty sharp for her age. It is too bad she will never see Jacksons Kong.
