Bad Moon had a great werewolf, but that "morphing" scene was terrible. Frankly, when it comes to transformations, I don't care anymore. The greatest one IMO is David Naughton's in An American Werewolf In London. I have yet to see a better one and therefore, I don't really need to see anything new. Films with werewolves shouldn't focus a great deal of time and money in showing the character transform. Just show eye pupils changing or maybe hair and fangs coming in. That's what Dog Soldiers did. And they had some fine werewolves.

I know when/if I get to make my dream horror film (which features me as a werewolf), I won't show a metamorphosis. I'll just have myself writhing around on the ground in agony and the main details will happen off camera.

I was just watching Silver Bullet on Saturday by a friend's house and these kids were getting all freaked out when the werewolf was getting ready to kill that guy in the greenhouse. Then later that afternoon, they watched man-eating lions unleash their fury upon people in The Ghost and the Darkness with ease.

I should also mention Tomb of the Werewolf starring the great Paul Naschy came out this past summer, unfortunatly for this film it's actually a werewolf film inside a softcore porn :( :-\.

The werewolf effects are good but overall not a good film. It's your typically Naschy looking werewolf(a Wolf Man clone with all pointy teeth and drool)

I didn't even know Snaps Back was out. I saw GS2 last month and liked it a little more than the first, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Awesome werewolf, though. I saw some video footage courtesy of KNB FX of the actor testing the wolf suit out in a room.
