Pass.

It looks nice, but aside from the VFX and voice cast, it's hard to see what differentiates this version from the original. On the other hand, the teaser is just that. Disney has plenty of time to reveal more.

Huge PASS. I'll skip the Lyin' King and stick with Kimba, the ORIGINAL.

So... is this going to be considered an animated film or “live” action?

It's an animated film. I thought maybe they'd filmed some background plates on location somewhere, but apparently, the movie is all photorealistic CGI.

Looks like a shot for shot remake, just not as pretty as the original.Same deal as that Beauty and the Beast one.

Right now the blacker cast for a story with an African setting (which, if you think about it, was established in the Broadway show) is the only novel thing novel going for this movie. The Jungle Book had elements of Disney's previous version, but was otherwise a new, different adaptation of the story. If the film hews as close to it's predecessor as Beauty and the Beast did I just don't think it justifies itself.
