Season 1 was damn good, with its mix of inter-planetary political tension, detective noir, and hard SF mystery all tied together by some wonderfully meticulous world(s)-building. Season 2 dropped the detective aspect, unfortunately, but upped the ante with more interesting character development, buckets of intrigue, and the most convincing space battles I've ever seen.
