After a decade in development hell it seems an American version of the iconic anime may be taking shape - but not as a movie; as a TV show.

Don't know what to think about this. Cowboy Bebop deserves an A-budget to bring the scope and variety of the world to life. The show was so aggressively cinematic and stylish that making something that stands up to that is a tall order indeed.

My initial trepidation still stands, but with the seemingly limitless coffers of Netflix they do have a better chance of capturing just the immense sprawl necessary to make it feel like Bebop.

I still think the idea to make a live-action version of Cowboy Bebop is a bad one. How can you top a masterpiece? That being said, the cast is really good. I wouldn't have guessed they'd get John Cho, but he's fantastic and has really deserve a big starring roll like this for forever.
