RIP Miguel Ferrer

he passed on January 19th, but somehow probably slipped by all the various celebrity deaths as of late. Still I was surprised. I only discovered this as a result of researching voice actors for the upcoming Teen Titans: Judas Contract animated film, voicing Slade Wilson/Deathstroke and is now billed as "his final performance".

In my early days of attending SDCC, I recall my friends and I sharing an elevator ride with him at the Marriott probably 1992 or 1993. Admittedly, since we were young and stupid, none of us knew his name, so we basically just nonchalantly rode the elevator with him, and another gentleman. But as soon as we reached the lobby and he was out of our range of hearing we were like - dude that was coke-snorting guy from Robocop! --Ah fond memories.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

He was one of those character actors who always delivered. It was always great to see him pop up in a movie, like, for example, Iron Man 3, exuding menace and making a small part something special.

Reading his wiki... knew he was the son of José Ferrer and Rosemary Clooney (and thus George Clooney) but I had no idea he had such a nerdy circle of pals: a few comics veterans, Spider-Man 2099's secret identity is even named after him because Peter David was his friend.
