Seems inevitable at this point. I know Milne's estate created an official sequel novel where an adult Christopher Robin returns to the Hundred Acre Wood.

The characters will be in less danger of being creepy in that 'uncanny valley' way as they're supposed to be stuffed animals, and therefore the designs will have a lot of leeway.

Disney has portrayed Winnie the Pooh in live-action before. When I was a kid I used to watch this show called Welcome to Pooh Corner on the Disney Channel whenever it was available on basic cable for a week or so.

^Oh, my god! Someone else who remembers when Disney was a premium channel and would occasionally pop up on basic cable essentially to advertise itself. I remember catching Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster on it one time. That, austere British cartoons, and arty channel bumpers are all I remember about this older version of the network before it went basic.

Pooh was also adapted, pre-Disney, as an episode of Shirley Temple's kids anthology series in the early '60s with a real Christopher Robin and marionette everyone else.

Of course, maybe the best version is the one from the Soviet Union:

I'm not sure if a live action Winnie The Pooh movie is a good idea. I guess that it depend on the writer. :|
