- and he'd been doing Uncle Scrooge's voice as recently as a few of the current Mickey Mouse shorts that air on the Disney Channel.

And he was wonderful as Filby in George Pal's The Time Machine.

Sad news indeed. Mr. Young will certainly be missed. Just looking through some of the roles Alan Young has played over the years, it's amazing just how much we don't readily have access to nowadays. Mr. Young has done an impressive amount of voice work, aside from aforementioned roles, he was also Keyop and 7-Zark-7 on Battle of the Planets.

Yes, 7-Zark-7, and of course Wilbur and Filby from George Pal's "The Time Machine". Even played the romantic lead Woody in Pal's "Tom Thumb".

He lived to be 96. We should all be so lucky. RIP Mr. Young.
