Didn't see a topic about this so if there is one please just merge this or something.

I'm trying to finish up season 9 before this starts so I'll be up to speed, although hopefully it'd be best if the average viewer didn't need to watch 9 seasons to be ready for a new show.

Since the 6 episodes X-Files mini-series are going to continue the story from the last episode of season 9, you have to be a fan of that show to enjoy it.

I'm so ready for this. The X-files is possibly my favorite tv show ever made (challenged only by Doctor Who). I can't wait to see where this goes and I hope it's a nice bookend to the series (much more so than the second movie was...)

Does anyone know if this will be on Hulu the day after it airs like so many other shows? I don't have a DVR and there's no way I can guarantee being able to watch it as it airs when I've got a toddler and a newborn at home...

You would think so, but you never know. I know they have at least SOME fox shows available the next day (like The Simpsons) but I have no idea if they have EVERY or even MOST fox shows. But they have most abc shows, including the first season of Agent Carter that I recently watched. But for some reason, season two of that show is nowhere to be found. And google searching rarely turns up useful information about what shows will or won't be on a particular streaming service and when. Apparently they keep all that pretty tight lipped for some frustrating reason.

Sorry sports fans, but post game stuff is aggravatingly useless. One team got more point, the other didn't. Move ON. Sorry just super pissed at the preemption.

But it felt just like an old episode, pre-season 8 at least. It was comfy and decent re-introduction.

Missed tonight's episode because I thought it was on at 10 again and checked at 9 and realized it started at 8. Oh well. Thank god for Hulu.

Just got to catch up on the first two episodes. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. There's some stilted dialogue here and there (the scene between mulder and scully on the porch in the first episode in particular), but it's not been bad enough to hamper my enjoyment. I've quite liked the stories told so far, even if the second episode was almost too gruesome at times. And seeing mulder and scully back in action together has been as much fun as it should be so far. Despite the dialogue complaint above, there's plenty of scenes where they totally nail it and it all just feels so right. X files is back!

I was a kid when X-Files was on, but I always enjoyed it... err, aside from the last couple of seasons. Anyway, I think this limited run revival has been something approaching terrific.
