I haven't seen the film yet. I like to know how good or bad it was.

It was my third favorite movie of 2015. Amazingly shot, the best score to ever grace a Tarantino film, and each hour of the movie brings you something new and different. The first hour is pretty much talk between Jackson and Russell. The second hour is the set up, and the third hour is the action. That is all I can really say without giving spoilers.

It seems to already be disappearing from theaters and hard to find. I can only find an occasional showing near me, and it's hard to get out and go see it. Disappointing, because I WANT to see it, but there's just no opportunity to do so. I almost NEVER have this problem with movies, but it seems like it was assumed everyone who "really" wanted to see this would go to the 70 mm roadshow version and those of us who couldn't get out to that don't deserve to go see it. We should just see Star Wars again, which still has most of the screens nearby.

This is probably one of Tarantino's weaker films, in my humble opinion. Its third act is a bit too messy and "convenient" in terms of the way it all comes together and all the characters' relationships to one another are unveiled. That it's still solidly going to be in my 2015 top ten is a testament to how good a filmmaker Tarantino is.
