This hits hard. Chris Lee is tremendously important, and was one of the last folks from that era still living, what a representative.

- but, if I've learned anything from his movies... he'll be back.

Just saw this on the net. Man... what a huge bummer. He was certainly a living motion picture legend. Though gone from our midst now, his vast legacy thankfully lives on thanks to VHS, DVD & Blu-ray to continue thrilling & entertaining new generations of movie fans. He will be sorely missed. One of the last of a generation of truly incredible talent. Farewell Mr. Lee, and many, many thanks for all the fun (and creepy) memories.

This one hurts. I really thought he'd live to 100.

Man, I wake up and hear this news.

I always thought the academy should have bestowed him with a Lifetime Achievement Award, not only for his proficient career but for his charitable work as well. Opportunity now missed.

His achievements are just too numerous to mention in just a few sentences. He was the one actor to appear face-to-face with some of my favorites - Peter Cushing, Gregory Peck, Jack Lemmon and Toshiro Mifune.

My mom introduced me to Christopher Lee's Dracula movies when I was young. Very sad, though he lived such a long wonderful life.

An amazing man, and the last great actor of his generation. You read his biography and wonder how the hell someone did all that living in just 93 years! And all the charactes, mostly villains, that he played in just under 70 years as an actor!
You could spend a week doing nothing but watching his work, and only scratch the surface.

RIP Sir Christopher.

The staff at TCM works well and fast. I am sure they will do a movie tribute soon.

Awful news. He lived a long life though and he accomplished a great deal, both in movies and in music.

R.I.P. Christopher Lee

While I can't say this really hits hard or hurts, as he was NINETY THREE, but it is sad and an end to an era. Oddly enough, my first introduction to him was Gremlins 2, and I had no real idea who he was or anything like that, but for some reason "creepy scientist from Gremlins 2" always stuck out to me and struck a cord, and as a kid growing up, when I'd see him in something else, I'd recognize him from that. It wasn't until much later that I learned who he was and what a genre figure he was.

The man led a life many of us would LOVE to have led though, so at least there's lots to celebrate.

RIP.

It's like an end of an era. Him, Vincent Price, and Peter Cushing. May they be having the best of time in the afterlife together.

^ I think gifs of Bruce Lee and Vincent Price could, if used properly, adequately cover all human reactions and form a universal language.
