A few of my Facebook witticisms on last night's ceremony:

J.K. Simmons won Best Supporting Actor. He should have said "Eat me, Tobey Maguire" in his speech.

"The Reaper" didn't win Best Short Subject? I demand a recount!

Patricia Arquette wins Best Supporting Actress. All her sister ever got was a Toto song.

Lady Gaga, please stick with the duets-with-Tony Bennett look. Wearing meat dresses and making weird faces scares small children, and a few adults as well.

Alexandre Desplat wins Best Score for "Grand Budapest Hotel". I'll pretend he won for "Godzilla".

Eddie Redmayne wins Best Actor over Michael Keaton! I'll bet the Joker is behind this.

Julianne Moore wins Best Actress. Who's bigger, Oscar or Dirk Diggler?

"Birdman" wins Best Picture. Does this count as a superhero movie?

The LEGO Movie not nominated for Best Animated Picture was beyond stupid. At least Tegan, Sara and The Lonely Island got to sing their song.
