Wow! What a mess! I loved Spiderman, Spiderman 2 and Amazing Spiderman. The rest were just garbage and Sony seems clueless and has no idea what they want to do with the character. Personally, I'd like to see Spiderman take a break for a few years, I am really sick seeing the same thing over and over again. I also have absolutely no interest in a Sinister Six or any other spinoff of Spiderman villains (well except maybe a Venom movie).
As much as I loved Amazing Spiderman, I did not want to see a reboot. I think They should've gone ahead with a Spiderman 4, possibly a 5 with Raimi then give it a break for 5 years or so.
In my opinion, if Sony really wants to jump on the superhero bandwagon, they should really consider superheroes from Independent publishers and leave Marvel characters to Marvel. I would love to see movie versions of a few of the old Image Comics characters such as Savage Dragon, Cyborforce, Witchblade, etc.

At this point, they need to just give Spider-Man back to Marvel so we can get people who know what the "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" they are doing in charge of the series for once. It seemed like they had a plan for TASM1 and then threw it out the window for TASM2. I love Garfield as Peter, but the last movie was so bad I don't even think I'm going to bother with the next one.
Nevertheless, the one thing we don't need is another origin story movie. They can just show us the origin in the opening credits and be done with it.

I like the idea of Sony making an animated Spider-Man movie, then they could give the live action rights back to Marvel. Two series, clear division.

If Marvel were to get back the film rights for Spider-Man form Sony, we would be that much closer to the possibility of Pixar working with Marvel to produce an animated Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends movie. I freely admit I would be thrilled to see at least a Pixar aided SaHAF movie -- I expect Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends would probably be popular with kids today as it was 30 years ago.
Iceman will probably take some extra work (most likely Fox relinquishing the X-Men rights which doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon) unless Marvel would have some rights capacity to use Iceman as part of SaHAF scenario, similar to how they are using Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the next Avengers movie.

Maybe Marvel Doesn't need spidey there are plenty of other heroes besides Spidey with secret identities that kids can fall in love with like Daredevil or...Black Panther?

Maybe Marvel could used the Miles Morran version of Spider-Man for their movies.

Civil War was the second worst thing to ever happen to Spider-Man, so I would rather they not use him in the movie just for that.

I think going this route would be the best course for Sony espcially with all the issues they've had as late. At least their video game division is back on top.

The movie can be bad if it wants. As long as they continue to portray Spider-Man right which you have to admit so far Sony has done better than most expected with Garfield. Spider acts and fights like he does in the comics. Witty, Smart, but serious when he needs to be. Which is I really require in the long run. Infact the only thing anyone liked about Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man 2 were the Spider-Man scenes.

But in general do you think Marvel will get Spider-Man back?
