I just wonder if this will be one long film cut into two, or if will be separate movies with the events in Captain Marvel and The Inhumans having an impact on Part 2.

So...is there actually anything interesting about this Thanos guy? I've not bumped into him in any of the Marvel comics I've read, and in his fleeting movie appearances to date he just comes across as the standard all-powerful megalomaniac despot.

For an Avengers two-parter, I would have expected a story arc with inherent drama and complexity, like Civil War. Instead, it looks like that has been shuffled off to the fringe of the MCU and the big endgame is a standard fetchquest for magic gems. I hope there's something I'm missing here.

I don't know how much of it will come across, but Thanos is basically a psychotic and cosmic Great Gatsby. He wants to impress a girl, in this case, Death. He does this by trying to murder the universe. In Infinity Gauntlet, he accomplishes this, more or less. He becomes a god and kills off half of the universe. To me, it's mostly just the way he's written and the unrequited love angle that appeals to me.

How are they even going to beat Thanos! Is Adam going to be in the movie? I wonder what angle they will go with?

DigitalSpy (I think) was reporting that Loki would be in Thor 3 (obviously) and the Infinity War movies. Which is kind of great, I think they're gonna do what I thought they should which is substituting Loki for Mephisto in the Infinity Gauntlet stuff.

I didn't know where else to put this, but the question has been bugging me lately:
If Loki's Scepter houses an Infinity Stone, which is it? Not which in terms of its powers (seems to me like the Soul or Mind stone), but which in terms of its COLOR?
The scepter clearly houses a BLUE stone, and the Tesseract is also clearly BLUE. Yet, just about everything shows us there are not two blue stones:

How can we have two blue ones when everything points to basically a rainbow? What kind of God would allow this?

The Tesseract itself is a container for the stone, therefore its color is irrelevant? Maybe the Tesseract is actually a Cosmic Cube and will be used to defeat the Infinity Stones and Thanos?

The Tesseract will probably end up being the white/orange? one, based on nothing besides its prominence and that color being the giant one on the front of the Gauntlet. Let's see, red is Aether, purple is Orb, leaving the green and the yellow "thumb" stone.

I was thinking it was a Cosmic Cube until the Aether turned out to be a stone and it was apparently confirmed as a stone in Thor 2.

So I was reading this interesting article that talked about how each villain that was killed by one of the infinity gems may end up returning in Infinity War because their souls are still within the gem and that they didn't really die. It is an interesting theory and would be pretty awesome to see. However, it made it out as if Thanos has been planning this the entire time, but that is a little far fetched. Thanos doesn't actually plan, he just does what he can to win Death's affections.

I wouldn't necessarily expect Death to become a character in the MCU.

That aspect of the lore is distinctly mentioned in the "art of" book for Guardians of the Galaxy, though, so we may yet see that integrated into the films.
