I'm so used to having news of casting release so close to filming or during filming that it seems odd, almost dicey to say they have some one for a movie not coming out for another 3 years.

Finally! Doubly excited if Serkis is Klaw.

Fantastic actor in the role. Costume is SPOT-ON like it walked off the comic book pages. This could be a great addition to the roster. My only concern is using this guy to 'replace' Peter Parker in the Civil War storyline. He would be too fresh with movie audiences and have no where near the clout and love that Spidey has. Other than that I am really stoked. This movie could be like a mixture of Mission: Impossible, Tarzan & Indiana Jones. Very cool. Some great news from Marvel today. Take that, DC!

FINALLY! Not only do they have a great actor for the role, but we won't have to wait until 2017 for his solo movie as he's slated to appear in Captain America: Civil War. I think I also heard Panther is scheduled to appear in five Marvel movies. I wouldn't be the bit surprised if he's also in a post credits scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

With Wesley Snipes returning to television with “The Player" TV series, he provided a brief update about where he and Marvel stands with the Blade character, and he teases another that's not done yet, but would be able to stand toe to toe with Blade. T'Chaka anyone?

He could go from pugilist to king.
If this pans out, it's very good news.

Good news. Coogler crushed it with Creed, directing and writing.

This is, by my own admission, maybe a weird thing to take away from this trailer, but Andy Serkis really nailed Klaw.

The fact that seeing a majority black cast and majority African-based fashion and design aesthetic in a mainstream blockbuster just feels shocking is good evidence for why such a thing was needed.

^ Great article. It would have been cool to see Wesley Snipes as Black Panther in the '90s but I'm glad we got the Blade series.
Black Panther opens in two weeks!
Black Panther is the fourth of six MCU entries to open in a span of 14 months after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok, all of which I think are in the MCU's upper echelon in terms of quality. Marvel is firing on all cylinders and turning out movies that really stand out from each other in both content and directorial style. Hopefully Black Panther will continue that winning streak.

Yeah it was great. I saw people engaged in the whole movie. Sometimes it was deathly quiet compared to other movies I have been to.

I think my favorite line of the movie was when the ape tribe dude says,
God damn was that scene hilarious. This movie was just great as a whole. It had a serious tone to it, but the comedic moments worked extremely well. The visuals in the astral plane were gorgeous.
Killmonger is right up there with Vulture, Loki, and Red Skull in being some of the MCU's best villains. They made him extremely sympathetic and a great villain. I also loved how they
The action was well done. The camera work was superb. Surprisingly, the soundtrack was utterly fantastic. I was expecting it to be nothing but rap music and what I got was a soundtrack that was quite tribalistic. Amazing work from the composer.
I kind of want to say this might be my second or third MCU movie to date now, but it seems like they just keep getting better and better with every movie and with Infinity War coming out in less than three months, I better wait before I even bother proclaiming that factor. Who knows, by the end of the year my list could be completely different.
