So..when this was happening in 2006-2007, who thought it'd ever get adapted as a film?
It's kind of crazy to believe, I mean at the end of Iron Man 2008 I was just excited to see them get to Avengers. That seemed so lofty...
now we've got Ant-Man, Inhumans, Civil War, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy (2!), Infinity Gauntlet..
It seems crazy.

This is the upcoming Marvel movie that has me the most excited, especially after the quality execution of The Winter Soldier. Civil War as a comic cross-over event was somewhat messy in its implementation, but the raw drama of it powered through any "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" I had. Hell, I probably wouldn't have even noticed the continuity problems if I hadn't binged on all 80+ issues on Marvel Unlimited.

Presumably the scale of the conflict will have to be pared back considerably to fit into a single two-hour movie, but I'm interested to see how they approach it.

So who will we see in this movie? Also this should be a two parter!

Seeing Black Panther might get me to see this film, but otherwise I'm extraordinarily unmoved. Captain America should be able to stand on his own with his own storyline instead of being a cog in the MCU machinery. I was interested in seeing Cap and Falcon go searching for Bucky, but now his next movie is Cap vs. Iron Man while introducing a character who'll get a movie next year and also setting up the next Avengers movie(s).

So far this movie sounds more like a sales pitch than a film.

I just don't like the feeling that everything is a promo for something else. That's what makes most mainstream superhero comics (in my opinion) unreadable, although I do have to admit that seeing two to three movies a year is a more doable (and certainly more affordable) than following many dozens of different comic titles a month.

Oh yeah in the comics they did fight...Iron Man kicked caps ass. Cap needed Hercule's help just to put up a fight. But these aren't the comics. So that means Cap's still gonna get his ass kicked.

IF they kill Chris Evans, I'd imagine right in the same movie Bucky will take up the mantle.

Are the stones and their functions any better defined in the comics than they are in the movies? Because I still have no idea what it is that any of the three we've seen thus far actually do except "whatever the plot needs them to do"

So...anyone else still holding on to that string of hope that they put Spider-Man into this?
