As a kid i watched a decent amount of television but looking back I have the best memories of:
Sesame Street
Ducktales
Batman 66 (reruns after school in the 80s)

As a grown up:
Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 series)
Breaking Bad
True Detective (although I'm sure season 2 will let me down)
Face/Off (a reality tv competition show!)
Archer
Arrested Development (prior to Season 4)
The Venture Bros.
Silicon Valley (professional bias)

Some all-time absolute favs:
Breaking Bad (the only show I've ever seen where I was basically all-in from episode one through the end without ever feeling anything negative)
Sesame Street (I have so many good late 80s/early 90s memories of this show, and the movies/TV movies around the same time ie, Follow that Bird, Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, basically back when Big Bird was more the main character before it became Elmo's show)
The Simpsons (I liked the show a little bit later than most people, as I think it's great up through season 12 and then season 13 was also okay..14 and beyond is where I finally fell off)
Seinfeld (I think it says a lot that I can pretty much watch any episode in syndication at any time and be fine with it)
Scrubs (If I consider the series ending at season 8, it'd be a contender for favorite TV show of all-time)
The Office (everything up until the exit of Michael Scott is great...then just skip to the finale)
Dragon Ball Z (I plan on revisiting it fairly soonish)
South Park (it's certainly had its share of missteps along the way, but they still crank out good to great stuff with a decent amount of regularity)
Batman the Animated Series (best cartoon ever, probably)
Top Chef (The wife and I never miss it, and we even really like Top Chef Masters)

Stuff that started AMAZING and then either had too many hiccups in the middle or ended disappointingly such that I enjoyed the ride for the most part but probably wouldn't revisit:
Dexter (first four seasons are amazing, and had they found a way to use season 5 as a wrap-up, it could have been a GREAT show. Seasons 6,7, and especially 8 are atrocious. Seasons 8 was so positively terrible that I would have quit on this series had it not been the final season)
LOST (first three seasons are great, and the ending is fine, but there's a LOT of padding in the middle to stretch the show to more episodes than it should have had)
How I Met Your Mother (good Lord the final two seasons are terrible, also the series finale is a punch to the face)
Futurama (the comedy central years are hit-and-miss and the final season is flat-out BAD. The series finale was pretty great though and re-runs always entertain)

Stuff that's too early to make the call on but that I currently watch so I'd call a "Current Favorite"
Modern Family (I love this show and never miss an episode, but we're too early to know if it's an all-time great)
The Walking Dead (it's gone warbly at parts, but it certainly CAN recover, and has had various great episodes sprinkled throughout. I'm still on board)
Archer (season 5 was a let-down but I'm still very much on-board.)
The League (it rarely flirts with true GREATNESS but it's fun and fairly unique)
Game of Thrones (I don't know what it is about this show that keeps me from LOVING it...it's a good show, hasn't really been a bad episode...but I only like it)

Stuff I fell off or am not familiar enough with to state conclusively:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021, Space Ghost Coast to Coast (did I only like these shows when I was in college? I haven't revisited since then)
The Venture Bros. (It's been so long since I've watched this show...it's not reliable enough to keep up with it...too long in between seasons for a show that actually has a fairly consistent plot thread)
Parks and Recreation (I didn't like the first season, but I've seen episodes in syndication since then and they're quite good. Maybe the show has turned it around and is really great now?)
X-Files (when I was a kid, I would watch it with my dad and liked it, but I also was a bit too young and cared about other things too much to keep track of the plot. Also, I've heard it falls off the rails so much that I never bothered to get back into it)
Gills.

Scrubs after JD left was at least only a few episodes, and really didn't try to carry anything with it from before JD left so...I still consider Scrubs a GREAT show. It's SO easy to ignore that final season, and the previous season's finale works perfectly as a series finale anyway.

I'd still call it one of my favorite shows for sure.
Also, I kept Lost and Dexter in here because I may actually revisit Lost one day and probably will revisit those seasons of Dexter that I liked...Heroes, meh. I'm never gonna go back and watch its one good season when the show never even had a proper ending.

Yeh... I loved season 1 of Heroes, but Season 2 was painful. With Lost I had planned to rewatch the entire series over again after it completed but i detested the ending so much that it pretty much ruined the entire show past the second season for me.

Hmm, as a kid my fondest memories are of Batman '66 reruns, Batman TAS, Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies on Saturday morning (in fact, I think I'd say those are my all time favorite tv memories), Garfield and friends, Muppet Babies, Transformers and G.I. Joe. With a healthy dosing of things like A-team and such for good measure.

Right now current favorites are The X-Files. I was a big fan for several seasons when I was in high school but gave up when Mulder left. My wife and I re-watched the entire series on netflix a few years ago and it quickly became my favorite show ever. It does fall off the rails a bit after Mulder leaves but I actually think it got back on and was pretty decent. It never gets back to the highs of its absolute peak, but it remains entertaining.

But there is one show that I think has toppled the X-files for me recently. Doctor Who. We started watching the modern show in netflix maybe two years ago and are close to finishing Matt Smith's tenure. And I freaking LOVE it. I can not get enough of this show. Tennant is my favorite but I've enjoyed all the modern doctors. I've also started going back and watching the classic show and I love it too! I'm not sure I'd have ever gotten into the old show without the gateway drug of the modern series but now that I have I love all of it. I'm fast on my way to becoming a diehard whovian and I don't think there's any turning back.
