Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

After watching Godzilla 2014, I started thinking of how far movies have come in terms of visual effects.. We have had some stellar monster battles on film in this new era of film making.. So I decided to list my top five cgi monster battles:

5. 2003 hulk vs the gamma dogs- this and the desert sequence was great!!

4. Godzilla vs the Mutos - obviously the reason behind this thread, and although short, it was great!

3. T. rex vs Spino in Jurassic park 3 - visually stunning although short, but stunning none the less !

2. Hulk vs Abomination in 2008 Incredible Hulk. That was an awesome battle and nicely done

1. Kong vs V-Rexes in 2005 King Kong- visually this movie is still the best I've seen.. I actually thought it looked better than Avatar!! But this fight between Kong and the V-Rexes was visually stunning !! I still rewatch that scene a lot!!

That's my top 5 of Cgi battles.. Again totally my opinion.. I would like to hear from you guys.. Give me your lists

1. The entire battle for Hong Kong in Pacific Rim (really several battles wrapped into one)
2. Godzilla vs. The Mutos
3. Gipsy Danger vs. Knifehead from the beginning of Pacific Rim
4. King Kong vs. V-Rexes (this movie is way too long yet we only get one monster battle?! PJ was way of base there. At least the one was rather spectacular)
5. T-rex vs. velociraptors (short, but a wonderful moment and a great cap on the film)

Godzilla vs. the MUTOs in Godzilla (2014)

The only noteworthy fights I can remember are Kong vs. the V-Rexes and the Hong Kong battle from Pacific Rim.

If this is just giant monsters then really only Pacific Rim and Godzilla...

piss on that V-Rex fight. King Kong in Easy Trapezy? No. Not now, not ever.


Expanding beyond giant monsters, I loathe the movie but the Dracula vs. Werewolf fight of Van Helsing on its own merits would be pretty fun maybe.
Also, Hulk vs. Abomination.
