Man, there's only a few of the real classic Hollywood greats left.

I think he was the last great name still alive out of Hollywood's Golden Age. His history is practically that of Hollywood. Just look at his imdb entry! Nearly 90 years of acting on screen, stage, radio, and television! He was the complete working actor, good song and dance man, comedies, dramatic roles, he could and did do them all. Sci fi genre wise, the only thing I can think of him doing was the Twilight Zone's "The Last Night of a Jockey". He was great in everything he did, even if everything he did wasn't great.
R.I.P. Mickey

I liked everything he did except when he was the worst part about Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Low-budget film noir called "Quicksand" from 1950, I thought was one of his most underrated movies. Mickey was definitely one of the last great Hollywood talents from the Golden Era.
