probably one of the best, and absolutely enjoyed the heck out of McLintock!,North to Alaska,Hatari!,Donovan's Reef,El Dorado.

I really need to see more of his films. Love The Searchers and Rio Bravo.

There is never a day that can't be improved by watching one of The Duke's films. A better actor than a lot of his critics gave him credit for, he really came to represent the American Ideal as represented by the West. I can't count the number of times I've watched El Dorado, Rio Bravo, Rio Lobo, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, She Wore A Yellow Ribbon, The Searchers, Hondo, McLintock!, Big Jake, and of course, True Grit. So many other great films, too many to list. We have had more than a few great actors since he walked off the stage, but no one has had the impact on the American psyche that he had.

Actually, as a kid in the 1970s, I saw Patrick Wayne's movies before I ever saw any his father’s features. “Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger” and “The People That Time Forgot” and both at the movie theater.

Of Duke’s films I liked best were “Red River” and “Liberty Valance”, though Lee Marvin stoled the show in that one.
