This could be okay. It looks like there's some real talent behind it, anyway. I'm curious to see how closely it'll adhere to the Burroughs novels.

Nice trailer, but do we really need another Tarzan movie?

I've not read all of ERB's Tarzan novels, but it seems like this movie may be getting more things right than pretty much all the others even though it seems like an original story. Greystoke is okay, it does carry over more from ERB's books than many other movies, but it has at least as much movie tinkering going on -- especially showing Tarzan/John Clayton as being unable to adjust to human society.
ERB simply describes the creatures that take Tarzan in as anthropoid apes, they're definitely not gorillas (looking at you Disney) as those are in the story too and Tarzan even fights one. It's nice these apes aren't gorillas even though they appear to be based on gorillas; although I seem to recall ERB's anthropoid apes being more different still.
It's kinda funny to see them swinging from vines like Tarzan though, as I recall that's a skill Tarzan learns by watching smaller monkeys.

Writer Robert Towne so hated the finished 'Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes' that he put his dog’s name on the credits. As the new 'The Legend of Tarzan' opens, director Hugh Hudson looks back at his 1984 epic
It's not easy to fill the loincloth of Edgar Rice Burroughs' hero, but a surprising number of comic book characters have tried.
Edgar Rice Burroughs' jungle hero has been leaping around comics since 1929, with releases from DC, Marvel and more.
