Insiders say Warner Bros. execs realized they made "a big mistake" allowing its financing partner to cover 50 percent of the box-office hit's costs.

I really don't know where Lego sequels go. If Lord & Miller remain involved, then color me interested. Otherwise, I can see it becoming a really watered-down crappy kids series, REALLY fast.

I have no interest in whatever that second animated Lego film is supposed to be, but this one, as long as the creative team is mostly the same I'm game for.
Although I think the very end of the movie would have made for an interesting sequel, but there's also bionicles and other crap to explore.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who directed the first movie, are now producing the movie with Dan Lin and Roy Lee. They are also writing it.

The second Lego movie is being directed by the guy who made his own version of Jaws: The Revenge with his own penis starring as the shark. Bless.

Sounds interesting and all, but The focus they want is going to be difficult. I'd say the trouble Finn (the boy) would have, is not the fact that his sister is a Girl, but the fact that she (is probably) 2 or 3 years old. You could have a 2/3 year old boy and have the same dynamic, a fear that your younger sibling will destroy/damage your toys. Now if his sister was the same age (a twin perhaps?) or even slightly older, I'd say they'd have a valid point...and it would be fun to see the LEGO world from different points of view. But in my eyes, it will be from the point of a toddler (gender wont matter), unless they age up the characters or something. I have no siblings, but I have a couple of female cousins close to my age, and even as a kid, I had no problems letting my friends that happened to be girls play with my toys...

Hm. Interesting that they're spending MORE to advertise, because I feel the market penetration on the advertising way LESS.

It was good, just not as good as the first one.
