Couldn't find a thread for this, but since the poster has been out for a bit why not kick it off. The movie is currently scheduled to hit August 22, 2014

In addition to two original stories, the movie will also apparently cover the comics "A Dame to Kill for" and "Just Another Saturday Night" which are another Dwight and another Marv story respectively (interestingly the Marv story occurs chronologically at the same time as Hartigan's "That Yellow B@$t@rd" and was touched briefly during the scene in which Hartigan tracks Nancy down to Kadie's bar, so we had the tie-in established 10 years in advance).. There is a story element that explains why Josh Brolin will be playing Dwight instead Clive Owen (which is also briefly addressed in a single line of dialog 10 years in advance).

Also, to celebrate/capitalize Dark Horse is rereleasing all the Sin City comics in one massive tome (1350+ pages)

spoilers aside, you might be able to go so far as to consider him a different character in this story

Trailer is out!

I rank the first Sin City trailer among my favorite trailers of all time, so this one doesn't hold a candle.. but it makes me want to watch the first one again.

Red band trailer is out, and they should have lead with it. Makes me think the movie has a chance to recapture some of the original's style

Something feels off with this movie and I'm not talking about the recasted characters. I do not know why, but it looks fake. Yes, I know that probably sounds odd, but the first movie looked like everything was there when they filmed it. Here, it just looks like the actors are in front of the green screen.

Anyway, does anyone know what stories are being adapted into this movie other than ADTKF?

Interesting read about the company that did the VFX work... and how they haven't figured out the business...

This movie in its opening weekend, debuting in eighth place with just $6.3 million which is down a massive 78 percent from the first Sin City's in April 2005.

You know how theaters that obtain first-run movies are typically required to play them for a minimum of two weeks upon release? The nearest theater to me only has four screens, and Sin City 2 must have done particularly poorly there because they just brought back Maleficent, a late May release, and scheduled it for a full slate of regular showtimes for the next week. They also just obtained Get On Up, which opened everywhere else four weeks ago, and they're letting it take up the bulk of showtimes on Sin City 2's screen for the next week, as that movie will now be playing only at 9pm during the second and final week that the theater is required to show it. I have never seen this happen before. http://quintheater.com

This movie sucked. I was struggling to stay awake for most of it. Eva Green is the only thing that kept it from being a complete waste of time.

I didn't think it was terrible, but it's not as good as the first one. The stories didn't really seem to connect as well, and some of them (Joseph Gordon-Lovett's) seemed pointless. I did think the 3D was done well. Anyone else think Marv's makeup didn't look nearly as good as in the first movie?
