Billy Connolly hates the Hobbit… even though he’s in the film

I'm okay with it too. I did like There and Back Again more, but after that horrible "Into the Fire" title was rumored a week ago, if they have to change it I much prefer Battle of the Five Armies.

I guess one thing's for sure, the battle must be long if they name the movie after it. :P Admittedly that's a bit of a worry for me. Peter likes his action sequences long, and this movie will have Smaug's attack on Laketown, the White Council fighting Sauron and his forces in in Dol Guldur, and then the climatic Battle of Five Armies. How will there be time for anything but action?

While I like this, I was somewhat more enamored with The Hobbit: This is the Last One, Probably.

Maybe I'm weird, but does that title sound stilted to anyone else? It seems to me like Just "Battle of Five Armies" would have been a better choice and not THE Battle of THE Five Armies...

As much as PJ can pad his films, if this film opened with a flashback to Sauron and Smaug leading the charge in the Fall of Gondolin, I would not complain.

I'm so excited, I've watched the trailer like five times now. Now that Godzilla has come and gone, this is my most anticipated movie of the year. The action will be spectacular, I'm especially looking forward to the Battle of Five Armies.

The barrel sequence was one of the worst cinematic abortions in movie history. If I were to punch Peter Jackson for every time that scene infuriated and exasperated me, I'd break my hand.
