I just hope it isn't the only good thing about this year's Halloween episode. I mean, it has to be better than last year's, right? RIGHT?!

Got most of those on the first watch through but missed a few too. Cool beans.

I didn't even know about The Car, but I got most of the other ones. I didn't see the space capsule on the first watch through.

Yeah, had no idea what the significance of the lincoln car was at first...and i also missed some of the author stuff, cuz i didn't notice the raven so i never picked up that it was poe and haven't read enough bradbury.

and some of those things went by FAST, freeze-frame was practically required to pick it all out.

An excellent opening. I've always loved del Toro's bizarre sense of humor and it really fit here with what used to be one of my favorite parts of The Simpsons, the freeze frame gag. Now to settle in for the fact that the episode that follows will in no way deserve an opening this awesome. It's been years since I've seen even a decent Treehouse of Horror episode.

Great to see a lot of Harryhausen references including "First Men in the Moon" (although one had to look fast for Cavor's sphere).

Another piece of crap THoH. The opening was the only good bit. What the **** is a Dr Seuss parody doing in this thing? It was not even remotely funny but disgusting. The Bart head on Lisa's body was pretty much just saying they have no idea what to do anymore, so they had to rip off an idea from the third season of the show. Meanwhile the carnival one made absolutely no sense at all. The only positive I can give it is at least it was better than last year's, but that isn't saying very much.

Yeah it wasn't great, but it could have been worse. Oh and FYI-- even The Simpsons writers stated several years back- the Middle sketch is always the weakest of the 3.

Anyway--Yeah, people love Dr. Seus. Didn't make sense, but overly Graphic. Sure
