Dear animators...
Charlie Brown is not a bald kid with one squiggly hair on the front of his head. He is blonde, and that line is the edge of his bangs. Color did that character design no favors, but 3D animation absolutely cannot convey the design properly, at all.
Please use time travel to stop yourselves from having done this/

It feels like they've almost pulled it off. It almost looks good. Mostly it's because they've obviously worked like hell to make CGI look as flat as traditional animation as possible.
At least the tone seems pretty traditional, so it's not gonna break anything too bad.

I got to say I'm loving the fact that they are not "shooting" it like a 3D movie, keeping the "flat" appearance of the comic strip and cartoons people grew up loving. I was kind of worried how they were going to translate the 2d characters into 3D but it looks like they're doing a great job.
Still kind of would prefer standard animation, but that's the way the industry works.

It would be a fun extra if the home video release gets an animated extra set to the Royal Guardsmen's "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron". I haven't seen the movie yet, does the song get any run time during the movie? I know that there's at least one sequence with WWI ace pilot Snoopy.

Saw this on Thursday. It was excellent. The CGi, at times, had this stop motion look to it that I thought was great. And the fact that even though it's CGI it's filmed in the same manner as the old cartoons were made (aside from some of the Snoopy vs Red Barron stuff which was great). But I loved this movie. It's the old Peanuts with a new coat of paint and it was glorious.
