I didn't like the first Silent Hill movie... I thought it was boring (in fact, I don't even remember if I finished the whole movie, I was so bored). But it did look great and it had a cool, spooky atmosphere.

THIS on the other hand looks downright terrible. It looks cheap, acting is awful... I saw the trailer last weekend and couldn't believe it was getting a theatrical release (did the first SH even make that much?).

i haven't seen it yet, but this morning when i checked out Rotten Tomatoes i was surprised how wide the delta was between the two scores.. i'm sure the user score will go down after opening weekend, but right now..wow
