I was interested in this when they said they were going to ignore the Arnold movie and do a more direct adaptation of the Dick story.

But then the trailers came out and it appears they lied about that because it looks like a much more bland version of the Verhoeven film. It looks like essentially the exact same movie, only on Earth.

I wish they called Cronenberg up and asked if he wanted to do his version that fell through in the 80s.

PS- Len Wiseman sucks.

There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

The trailers seriously make the story look EXACTLY like the Arnold version without Mars. I see no reason to watch. Not even for my beautiful Kate.

It was an all right movie. Very predictable, nothing that has not been done before. I have never seen the original and have no interest in ever watching it, so I cannot compare them (and since Dick's story had nothing to do with Mars, I am glad this one didn't). There were so many plotholes though, but I did enjoy the music to the movie and some of the scenery. However, why does nearly every futuristic city in movies and games look like an overpopulated Chinatown?

Oh yeah, I need to mention this, what is the big deal about the lady with three breasts? I ask because for months I have heard obsessions with that lady and it was one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in a movie. It was like half a second long and they only did it for shock value and nothing else.

Overall, the movie is no where near as bad as the garbage that has come out this year, but it isn't worth seeing more than once. Oh, and this movie made me realize how much I do not like Colin Ferrel.

I haven't seen the remake yet, but my problem with the trailers is it looks like they were taking the whole thing way too seriously. The original isn't that serious a flick...it's a fun flick. Same thing with the recent Fright Night remake...way too serious...it's like they watched the original film and totally missed the point.
