I wonder if Whedon means Hulk is hard to do because it's hard to please everyone. So many people have different ideas on how good/bad/evil/heroic/badass Hulk is, there's no such thing as a definitive version. Everyone wants a different light/dark level.

Damn the genre as a whole. If the only way to get a Plastic Man movie is to sink the genre as a whole then so be it!

Isn't Plastic Man a DC property? If that's true, then you can hang that sh*t in the wind, because the only thing DC knows how to handle movie-wise is Batman and Superman.

Call me a sell-out, call me selfish, whatever, but I like what we've got now and what's planned for the future, and I hope they keep it up. I'm not tired of it; I want it to keep going.

I would totally go for stuff like that, but all I'm saying is that I don't think it's in the best interest of the genre.

Doesn't sound like there will be a new Hulk solo film ANY time soon.
That sucks. Mark Ruffalo was PART of the reason for people liking Hulk in the Avengers so much, but another big part of it was FINALLY seeing the Hulk himself have some actual personality.

Echoing the thoughts of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Avengers: Age of Ultron star Mark Ruffalo expresses interest in Planet Hulk, but reiterates that one is not in the works and that it could be too early for a movie which would feature little to no Bruce Banner.

I'd think that at least one more Hulk movie would be needed before doing a Planet Hulk movie. They'd need to show a trend of the Hulk being potentially dangerous to the general public, and that requires time to build.

I wonder how the adaptation would go? As I recall, it was a joint decision (and operation?) by Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, Reed Richards, and at least one more big character that resulted in exiling the Hulk from Earth. Right now Marvel doesn't have access to Richards, but I suppose he could just be name dropped and perhaps just depicted totally in shadow. I'm sure there are some other issues that Marvel will need to tackle too.
