The director of the 1986 cult movie will be consulting with writer Eric Powell on the new Boom! Studios spinoff, launching this summer.

Big Trouble in Little China is one of my favorite movies. It is so classically 80s its beautiful. There is no way in hell they can pull off a sequel that isn't overly polished and lacking of the charm of the original.
