I liked Face Off a lot, and Being Human was okay, but I don't actually watch it like I do Face Off.

The two headed shark was from the first episode. Really enjoying this series, though I thought the werewolf costume in episode 2 was AWFUL...at least the head was. Just in case it's of interest, Cleve Hall (show's star) made the Godzilla and Ghidorah costumes used in Peewee's Big Adventure :)

I actually have mix feelings about this show, mainly because it doesn't represent live action effects in a very good light (the crummy werewolf mask, and the whole "Mega Spider" debacle). And its reality television, which almost never works for me, especially with a glorified annoyances like Cindy hanging about...not to mention some of the surprisingly idiotic directors.

No wonder they never make it up to the higher ranks of the movie business, like many of today's big-name directors in the genre has from their early B-movie days from the seventies and eighties.

I do admit though that I have respect for Cleve Hall, especially after finding out he does the majority of awesome monster effects on "The Aquabats! Super Show!".

Cindy's unrealistic bitching aside (Thirteen hours late? Really?), I enjoyed this "Devoman vs. Clevezilla" episode far more than I was originally expecting. And I'm amazed that were able to do a better job on these three monster suites (the Devo robot men collectively as one) in one week, and that they all came off better looking than the horror movie tripe they've been given more time to work on in the past.

Either some real love and care went into this particular build, OR Devo has deeper wallets than the other clients of past episodes...or both.

I really wanted to like the show, but I think it's garbage. Feels so forced and scripted to me (like most/all "reality" shows.... I hate reality shows in general but it really grinds my gears when you can tell things are being forced and faked). Oh you made a rod puppet but didn't attach the rods before you came and we're only going to give you 2 minutes to set up for the shot so you've got to just wiggle the puppet at the guy as if we'd be satisfied by that then act really disappointed when we smugly say we're going to have to use CGI... yeah right.

What Enshohma said.

It's totally artificial and the monsters and stuff are generally very low quality. When I was a kid and watched a doc about Harryhausen I thought it was amazing. When I watch (quite recently) Jim Henson and Aardman behind the scenes features on the DVDs I have a bit of awe.

This is the opposite of that.

Anyone have a list of movies that Clive's studio has made?
