And with any luck, we'll get a quality Blu-Ray release of Return to Oz (Hopefully with more effort than Disney bothered to give THE ROCKETEER).
The movie is an interesting idea for a prequel Oz story, though I'm not sure how effectively it will tie into The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. In the first book the Wizard is presenting himself with great magical abilities when Dorothy shows up, and he even sends her to dispatch the Wicked Witch of the West.
It's been a long while since I read, the Oz books. I'll have to read through the books revealing the Wizard's back story to see how this prequel movie compares with what L Frank Baum wrote. {According to the Wikipedia article on the character the books The Marvelous Land of Oz and Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz are the ones to check out}

The land of Oz looks pretty good, and it's neat to see the trailer pay tribute to the 1939 Wizard of Oz. I wonder if the movie will start off like the trailer.
