Finally a movie adaptation of the classic game. I know video game movies pretty much have zero to a million good/bad ration, but hopefully this can break the mold.

Man this could rule. I love the Rampage franchise. Just think how cool this could be.

George (the giant ape), and Cal (the giant squid) are my personal faves.

Awesome. I love Rampage, and honestly I don't care whether the movie is good or not. I kind of just want to see somebody attempt to make this into a film.

The project reunites Johnson, New Line and producer Beau Flynn, who teamed for the hit disaster pic 'San Andreas.'

I really hope that he turns into one of the monsters to fight the others and it's not just him as some military dude leading the charge against the rampaging monsters. Also, the games was goofy and cartoony so I hope they keep it light and fun, sort of like how Pixels is being advertised but without the poison that is Adam Sandler and Kevin James.

...aaaand the giant monster movie renaissance continues. If they keep the whole 'the monsters are mutated people' angle from the game I bet the plot will involved folks turning themselves into monsters to, you know, fight other monsters and save the world and stuff. Heck, I'm gonna call it: there's a time limit to the transformations and you turn back into a human (shades of Ultraman).

At this point, how long before Dreamworks and/or Nickelodeon acquire the rights to Gamera?

^Rampage The Movie The Board Game!
It's basically Hungry Hungry Hippos with giant monsters.
