I think it could be fun. The director is known for absurd death scenes with movies like the Final Destination series and Snakes on a Plane. Add sharks to the mix and it could be a silly good time.

Fun fact. The director was actually fighting for the name of this movie to be "Untitled 3D Shark Thriller"
