I'll ride this series out for a while to see how it progresses, but watching the premiere episode was quite a letdown (I haven't watched the second episode yet). I didn't like the tone (I'm not even sure if they know what tone they're going for). WAY too many cringe inducing moments (with The Cape talking to Trip topping the list). The lead actor's "performance" doesn't help with the cringe-factor, either. Seems like they were in fast forward too. They could have just gone as far as The Cape's encounter with Scales for the first episode, but still use the two hours to flesh out the story and do some better character development.
If things don't improve, I don't think this series is going to last.

I flat out refuse to get into anything NBC is putting out there. First they dropped Surface a few years back and left us hanging. Secondly, they dropped Heroes and left us hanging as well. I'm not getting burned again.
