Now this has to be the most awesome looking SyFy original ever!! That's one big, bad, beast!! I've been quietly following it for some time now. To see the trailer, the first batch of cool images, and details check "Undead Backbrain":

Interesting. The CG didn't look as terrible as I've come to expect.

Well, Toho's recent rash of films were bad, so...yeah, i stand by "lately"

also, I threw them out there because it's what they are KNOWN for...it'd be like bashing Carpenter for not making any good horror films lately...(although personally i don't think his most recent feature-films have been as bad as everyone else seems to).

also, these independent films are (a) virtually unknown, (b) difficult to find (c) a bit hit-or-miss

also, have about Death Kappa???

just sayin, it's not like there's a huge recent supply of AWESOME monster movies and The Asylum stands alone as the ones making bad films...

They don't stand alone, but they are shouting from a mountain top whilst waving a sign saying "BAD MOVIES".

I've got the DVR set for this. Expectations aren't too high but I'll give it a chance.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters. It's the size of the fight in the dog!!

Actually, for a SyFy Originals film...I thought it was a few steps up from past efforts. Bad dialogue and some corn ball scenes, but at least some of the cast members were decent and the final scenes with the monster crawling out of the mountain were awesome.
