Aside from the Fifth Element, I've liked everything I've seen from him. I even like a lot of the movies he's produced like Danny the Dog. So as far as this one goes, why not?
I actually wouldn't mind Besson for a Godzilla movie.

i like Luc Besson, i like Scarlett Johansson but this looks like one i will have to turn off my brain for. I really enjoyed Colombiana, so i'll see it

It looks neat but, man, did they really have to spend several million dollars basing a movie off of a really dumb myth?

Wow! This is super appropriate because The Fifth Element was essentially an homage to Valerian and the works of Moebius. Now he's working on Valerian proper!
I have a few of the albums. Should really get more.

The news from the panel is quite exciting. Next summer is shaping up to be as awesome as this summer was... uh, not 'awful' but, err, 'disappointing' ?

Desplat is also currently signed on to score new projects by Wes Anderson and Roman Polanski.
