It's been awhile since I've watched the movie but I believe Disney's Return to OZ (1985) had a pretty good score. The director could go with whoever did RtOZ's score.

And while the Director & Co. are at it, they could also ask Fairuza Balk (RtOZ's Dorothy) to do a cameo, unless they want to offer her a role.

Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait...... Is this a remake or a sequel? I swear to god if its a remake I finally have to kill someone. This is my all time favorite film.
