Hatchet II
Posted: Wed Sep 29, 2010 11:34 pmThe sequel to the 2006 cult slasher film is released this Friday. I thought the first movie was fun enough, but it wasn't NEAR worthy of the praise heaped upon it. It was an alright horror-comedy but it wasn't an incredible "old school American horror" film like the poster promised.
Anyway, there is room for potential improvement with a sequel and the first movie was fun enough that I'll probably check it out. I think the director, Adam Green (Hatchet 1, Spiral) has shown a lot of promise with his other films, but hasn't really made that really good film yet. And Tony Todd is in it and I love that guy.
This will also be the first horror movie to be released UNRATED theatrically since lord knows when, so that's kinda cool.

Also, the midnight showings on Thursday night will have a cast member present in some cities.
