Not a huge fan of Kanno's music myself, but I do like her scores for Brain Powered and Macross Frontier. I'll not include anime soundtracks, otherwise I'd be here all day, :) but I'll just mention I love Takayuki Hattori's Nadesico score and Michiaki Watanabe's Mazinger Z music and leave it there.

Anyway, as for TV shows....

Outer Limits (original)
Star Trek (original)
Doctor Who (though I'm more partial to Dudley Simpson's themes than Murray Gold's)
Battlestar Galactica (original again)

Of course, the best theme tune ever (or at least it's incredibly catchy) would be
