Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

Just saw it with my fiancee. The potential for a really good film is there. In fact, up until the last few minutes, the whole thing was amping up really well. The acting was great, and the whole concept was pretty well done.

Unfortunately, the ending (twist, maybe, not really?) was just awful. For anyone who's seen the film, here is what I feel the ending should have been...

Anyway...SPOILERS!












The demon baby is given birth to and thrown into the fire. Cotton walks towards the fire with his crucifix and the documentary girl and camera guy take off. Rather than the cult people coming back, we see fleeting glimpses of something rising out of the fire and the flap of wings as the camera looks back at the fire a few times.

Then we hear heavier flapping and see something grab the documentary girl from above (out of focus and shaky, of course). Then the flapping grows louder and we suddenly see the camera jerk and face the ground as its lifted higher and higher into the air, the camera guy screaming, and wings flapping. Then a tearing sound and the screaming stops as the camera quickly plummets towards the ground, cutting to black and credits when it smashes on the earth below.


Eh? That was really the ending I was hoping for. But what we got? ...was a dissapointment...

I'm not going to get into why The Exorcist is good AGAIN, but I'm just going to say that you all (other than MFW, andKaiju Nexus) are wrong.

Hey MFW have you ever seen "The Uninvited" with Ray Malland?
It's a mild but effective ghost story from the forties I believe. I
think that is the title anyway.
