So is anyone going to see this? I just watched the original for the first time today. LOVED IT.

But I see a lot of potential here for them to f*ck this one up. The trailer looks decent, but there are a lot of things I can see them unsuccessfully trying to update for today's audience. I can tell you right now that the change of Peter Vincent from actor/horror host to Chris Angel-esque magician is an annoying one. The makers of the film say that the horror host is dead (even though Elvira just came back, Svengoolie is still around, Wolman Mac is carrying the torch, and there is always Cinematic Titanic/Rifftrax/MST3K). I'd say the fake magician guy is just as unpopular today (its not 2002 anymore). They could have easily made Vincent a horror author, director, or just drop the "host" part and leave him a horror movie actor.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse better do justice to Evil Ed and not play McLovin again (that seems to be all that guy can do).

Anyway, Colin Farrell as Dandridge should at least be good... that's great casting, IMO.

I liked this one. Colin's vampire was far scarier than Chris's........by a long shot.

I just watched this and found it to be exactly what I was expecting: ridiculous, mildly entertaining nonsense.

I enjoyed Colin Farrell as the vampire, everything else was pretty forgettable. I think I got a bigger kick out of the people that were sitting behind me and my friend. They were oohing and aahing the entire film, laughing along with the jokes and appearing to be totally into it. Then at the end they bitched that it was a stupid movie. Funny!
